Calcutta HC rejects plea for mandatory pregnancy test on WB prisoners

Calcutta High Court dismissed a PIL to make pregnancy tests compulsory for women prisoners in Bengal. The court rejected the suggestion for mandatory pregnancy tests and a ban on male employees entering women's spaces. The issue had been previously taken up by the Supreme Court and investigated by the state prisons department and the state women's commission.
