Jolt to TMC as 5-time MLA Tapas Roy quits party

Five-time MLA Tapas Roy has resigned from all his positions within the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the assembly, dealing a blow to the party ahead of the Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal. Roy cited feeling "hurt and insulted" at not receiving support from TMC leaders following an ED raid on his home.
