Monsoon arrives in Kolkata, expect light showers over next few days

The southwest monsoon arrived in Kolkata with no intense rain predicted. The city saw its lowest temperatures this June. IMD's Regional Meteorological Centre Kolkata reported the monsoon's delayed arrival in south Bengal. HR Biswas mentioned the absence of systems like a cyclonic circulation or low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. Kolkata and south Bengal are facing a rain deficit.
